TFC maintained its 2nd seed spot by relying on top-scoring, Mars Shah for 22 pts, followed by J. Gerviro, 18 pts and M. Esguerra, 11 pts to easily win over the Angels in the open division. TFC utilized its consistent team effort at both ends of the court, while applying tight defense and not allowing the Angels to gain easy shots.Leading the Angels' offensive thrust was B. Phasavath for 22 pts, followed by the younger L. Astoveza for 12 pts, 9 rebs. And with the tough defensive pressure forcing the Angels to commit turnovers, it was easy for TFC to control the boards, convert easy shots and pretty much control the tempo of the game, with their all around team efforts which they are known for.
